He came to the University of Arkansas on a baseball scholarship. Sutton graduated from the Walton College in 1978 with a BSBA degree in finance.


The Alpha of Arkansas Chapter was founded on the UA campus in 1932. Established in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma is the oldest and most prestigious national academic honor society for business students. In addition, this award includes a $1,500 scholarship to one of the Alpha of Arkansas members.
